- Old plates (ofcourse)
- Tracing paper/butter paper
- Carbon paper
- Pencil
- Acrylic paint
- Gesso
- Varnish
- Patience (Lol)
How to recycle old plate
Apply Gesso on the plate, this will make it easy to paint on plastic plates. We need to apply two coats of Gesso. This will give a smooth finish and also hide the old design which is already present on the plate.
Transfer the design to the tracing paper. After transferring the design on the tracing paper, place the carbon paper on the plate. Then, place the tracing paper on the carbon paper.
Use a pencil or pen to transfer the design to the plate. Once you are done with transferring the design, use acrylic paint to decorate the design.
Use black acrylic paint for outlining the design.
Apply varnish to the design.
